The future of validating the learning outcomes of youth work – final conference of the project Blockchain

You are cordially invited to the final conference of the European project Blockchain – Blockchained Youth Work, which will take place on Tuesday, 14 October 2025, from 10:00 to 14:00 in the main hall of the Faculty of Social Sciences (Kardeljeva ploščad 5, Ljubljana).

The project focuses on developing innovative approaches to identifying, recording, and recognising competencies acquired through non-formal learning in youth work. Particular emphasis is placed on the use of blockchain technology as a modern, secure, and transparent system for the digital validation of knowledge and skills.

The final conference will provide an opportunity for reflection and open dialogue on how youth work, as an important informal learning environment, can achieve greater social recognition and value through advanced approaches to recording and recognising competences.

At the event, we will present:

  • key project results,
  • possibilities for using blockchain technology in the validation of learning outcomes,
  • a group discussion using the world café method,
  • a round table with national stakeholders and decision-makers.

The event is intended for youth workers, policymakers, researchers, and all those interested in the future of recognising non-formal learning in the youth sector.

We look forward to your participation and to reflecting together on the next steps in validating knowledge and skills in youth work.
