In the meantime, the students worked in pairs and held individual consultations with their academic advisor and professional mentor to prepare their research projects and, with the help of both mentors, clarify any additional questions, findings, and proposals. At a joint meeting for the project Power dynamics between the global North and South: The case of fair-trade policieson 19 August 2029, the students presented their findings and discussed them with their peers and both mentors. Following the presentation, the academic mentor also conducted a training session with the professional mentor to share knowledge in the field of public policy advocacy and the development of fair-trade standards.
