3rd Study visit in the framework of the SMEQA project

From 14 to 16 March 2025, a three-day workshop on quality assurance in the framework of the Erasmus+ project SMEQA - Strengthening Capacities and Mechanisms for Enhancement of Quality Assurance System in Higher Education in Bosnia and Herzegovina was held in Split. SMEQA - Krepitev zmogljivosti in mehanizmov za izboljšanje sistema zagotavljanja kakovosti v visokem šolstvu v Bosni in HercegoviniStudy visit was atended by all project partners, higher education stakeholders, representatives of ministers and the Agency for Quality Assurance.

The central theme of the three-day programme was the development and implementation of a multidimensional model of quality assurance (IQA), which describes standards of excellence in the fields of management, scientific and productive activities, cooperation with the economy, studies, social responsibility and public communication. The model is presented as a dynamic system that supports the strategic development of higher education institutions, with a special emphasis on science as the foundation of the quality of the institution, as well as on the support of young researchers, doctoral candidates and scientific mobility.

The study visit further highlighted the institutional and international cooperation and confirmed the need for an inclusive and development-oriented approach to quality assurance in higher education, in which all relevant stakeholders are actively involved.
