Knowledge and skills for successful volunteer management

On April 17th 2024 we successfully held an educational conference KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS FOR SUCCESSFUL VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT, part of the EviDems project. Juri Hoedemakers gave a plenary lecture on the use of the figure of the court jester in reflecting on management, The reflective volunteer manager - the court jester approach. je izvedel Juri Hoedemakers. Na okrogli mizi o potrebah po (visokošolskem) izobraževanju za koordinatorje prostovoljstva sta se Tjaša Arko (Slovenska filantropija) in Tomaž Deželan (FDV UL) pogovarjala s Tadejem Kobalom (naj prostovoljec), Amirjem Crnojevićem (naj mentor) in Markom Pavlovičem (MC Zagorje). Sledile so štiri interaktivne delavnice, ki so jih izvedli dr. Tatjana Rakar, FDV UL (The role of volunteers in different types of organizations that include volunteers), Juri Hoedemakers (The reflective volunteer manager), dr. Tomaž Deželan (How to work well as a volunteer coordinator?) and Tjaša Arko (Understanding motivation for volunteer work). Together with the participants of the conference, we confirmed the findings as part of the EviDems project, that for the successful development of volunteering, among other things, the professionalization of the role of the leader (mentor or coordinator) of volunteers is also necessary.
