The Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana is improving access to higher education for deaf and hard of hearing people with the help of Slovenian sign language.

The Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ljubljana has been recognised by the AccessibleEU initiative as an example of good practice in improving access to higher education for deaf and hard of hearing students. AccessibleEU is one of the flagship initiatives proposed by the European Commission's Strategy for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2021-2030 and is a knowledge hub with information and best practices on accessibility in various fields.
