Howard Williamson is Professor of European Youth Policy at the University of South Wales. He is a distinguished researcher in youth policy, citizenship, and social inclusion, with extensive experience in European youth work and policy development. He has managed and conducted numerous research projects at local, national, and European levels, focusing on youth work, youth training, social exclusion, and civic engagement. He has played a key role in shaping European youth policy, having co-ordinated the Council of Europe youth policy reviews of 21 countries and co-edited the multi-volume History of Youth Work in Europe series. His work has contributed to policy development on youth participation, democratic engagement, and the role of education in fostering active citizenship.
