The consortium of partners of the project 'PLACEDU - A Digital Social Space for the Next Normal Education' is proud to present the curriculum for digital training in teaching and distance learning. The training is designed for teachers to support their efforts to create an inclusive community in the digital space. The development of the training was initiated based on the needs identified in the research 'Ethnography for the Digital after the Digital'.
The main objective of the training is to equip teachers with the necessary knowledge, skills and competences for innovative, student-centred e-learning that builds an inclusive community that fosters motivation and reduces students' sense of isolation. The training aims to overcome the "lost" aspects of the social and physical environment of distance learning. The PLACEDU training programme consists of 6 modules: Professional Engagement; Digital Resources; Teaching and Learning; Assessment; Student Empowerment; Strengthening Students' Digital Competences. "It is not enough to use digital tools, it is very important to understand the impact they have on the educational process and its participants. With the curriculum developed in PLACEDU, we are carefully addressing this". The training course on digital social issues can be accessed here.
PLACEDU is implemented by 7 partners from 6 countries: Lithuania (XWHY / The Critical and University of Vilnius), Slovenia (University of Ljubljana), Cyprus (CSI), Belgium (OTB International), Iceland (University of Iceland) and Greece (KMOP Education & Innovation Hub). The project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ KA2 programme of the European Commission.
