MEDIJSKA OBJAVA, 2015
In the name of the nation and/or Europe? Determinants of the Slovenian citizenship regime.

In the book Citizens and citizenship after Yugoslavia, the legal and political frameworks of managing citizens, the legal and constitutional provisions that define who are the citizens of a state and where the limits of its jurisdiction are are considered. Hence the concept of citizenship in the title itself. The second key word of this collection is definitely citizenship - sometimes used in parallel with 'citizenship', to complete the meaning spectrum of the term 'citizenship'. The texts in this collection analyze the connection between the citizen and the state, the rules and processes that enable the acquisition and loss of citizenship, questions about the statuses of "external citizenship" or "quasi-citizenship", rights and obligations that are of central importance for the realization of full-fledged belonging to the community, and political disputes over the issue "who belongs" and "why".
