SEEYW - Final conference

On Friday, 11 December 2021, the Brežice Youth Centre hosted an international conference on the quality and professionalisation of youth work. The conference was the final event of the Erasmus+ strategic partnership project "Supporting Evidence-based Education of Youth Workers" to raise the quality of youth work. It was addressed to youth workers from Croatia and Slovenia. Representatives of the project partners, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Rijeka (UNIRI), the Institute for Social Research in Zagreb (IDIZ) and the University of Ljubljana (UL), informed the youth workers present about the results of the project, which analysed the curricula of Slovenian and Croatian higher education institutions and asked them to identify which curricula include topics directly related to youth work and the competences of youth workers. The findings of the researchers point to a critical lack of educational content on youth work in both countries.
