The article attempts to provide a comprehensive account of the Slovenian citizenship regime, which has been only partially presented in the national and regional scholarly literature.

The book examines the legal and political frameworks for the governance of citizens, the legal and constitutional provisions that define who are citizens of the state and where the limits of the state's jurisdiction lie.

This book is the first comprehensive study of the civic regimes of the new countries that emerged after the break-up of Yugoslavia.
