We will develop and implement a module focused on European youth policy for students of social sciences (political science, sociology, communication studies, journalism) for two main reasons:
The students for whom the modules are being developed do not cover this area of the EU in their basic curriculum, as their programmes limit EU-related topics to basic information about EU institutions and policies. Thus, they only have the opportunity to learn about the EU at an introductory level, which also applies to undergraduate political science students.
As younger generations in Slovenia are shrinking, policymakers need to develop responses to pressing questions about the reasons, consequences, and ways to address this issue.
The main target group that will directly benefit from the project are students of social sciences in various fields, such as political science, journalism, human resources, and sociology. We expect the project to help improve the knowledge and skills of these students by offering interesting, methodologically diverse, and relevant courses with exceptionally rich content. Planned results:
Curricula (3) for the module.
Teaching, including student-centred learning methods, involving students in defining the course content, setting their learning objectives and integrating different SCL teaching methods.
